The function of this training is to promote verbal and practice competence in Positive Behaviour Support to engender maintain a culture of PBS across Intellectual Disability services. Staff who have completed a Longitudinal/Person-Focused 8-day training in PBS three years ago or more are encouraged to refresh their knowledge and skills base through participation in 2 workshop days.These workshops will be person-focused with practical application emphasised.This aims to meet the HIQA requirement for annual review of behaviour support plan component of an individual’s care plan.
